About Kanfei Emuna
Kanfei Emuna: Saving Jewish Lives – Restoring Hope
Well into the fourth year of the war, Kanfei Emuna remains on the frontlines of Jewish rescue, saving over 5,300 lives from active war zones. What began in Kharkiv has grown into a vital, faith-driven mission that brings families to safety and helps them rebuild.
Founded by Rabbi Yitzhak and Hodaya Halfon, Kanfei Emuna operates under the sacred duty of Pikuach Nefesh – saving lives at all costs.
Our Mission: Saving Lives, Strengthening Jewish Identity, Securing the Future
1️⃣ Life-Saving Rescue Operations
Kanfei Emuna leads critical rescues of Jews from high-risk areas under bombardment. We work with the Jewish Agency, JDC, and an international network of Rabbis to extract people from high-risk areas under bombardment. Using advanced digital networks and direct ground operations, we reach those who have no other way out.
2️⃣ Immediate Humanitarian & Spiritual Support
At refugee crossings like Kishinev, we don’t just provide transportation and logistics – we offer warmth, dignity, and a connection to Jewish life. From emergency aid to Shabbat programs and Jewish education, we help refugees rediscover their heritage and prepare for a new life in Israel.
3️⃣ Aliyah & Integration in Israel
Rescue doesn’t stop at the border. Once in Israel, we provide critical support to help repatriates adjust, integrate, and thrive. From bureaucratic guidance to spiritual connection, we ensure every rescued Jew has the chance to build a meaningful life in their homeland.

"Over 5,000 Jewish lives rescued – because in our story, no Jew is left behind."
Our Story
We, Yitzhak and Hodaya Halfon, lived in Kharkov for over twelve years, building our home and community. When the war broke out, we couldn't stand by as our fellow Jews were trapped in a war zone. With no formal resources, we mobilized everything we had to launch a rescue operation – first for our own community, and soon for thousands more."
"Through tireless efforts and with Hashem’s help, we have saved over 5,300 Jews – including Holocaust survivors, the sick, the disabled, and entire families escaping destruction. As key initiators of the Medibus project, we have led daring evacuations under fire, working day and night to ensure that no Jew is left behind."
"This is our mission. This is Kanfei Emuna.

Our Vision
Now more than ever, as the world turns a blind eye to the suffering in Ukraine, we cannot afford to be silent. This is not just another crisis – it is a call to action. As Jews, we are bound by the sacred responsibility of Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh LaZeh – every Jew is responsible for one another.
In the face of indifference, we must be the voice of those in danger. In the midst of darkness, we must be the light. This is our opportunity for true Tikkun Olam – to not only bear witness, but to act. To bring our brothers and sisters home. To save lives. To embody what it means to be Or LaGoyim, a light unto the nations.
